The plastic problem
Single-use plastics and waste generation – you know it’s a serious problem, we know it’s a serious problem. By 2050, the ocean will contain more plastic by weight than fish, and in the UK we produce enough waste every two hours to fill the Royal Albert Hall. It’s easy to be appalled by these facts and agree that something needs to change. The truth is however, that doing something about reducing your waste isn’t always that easy, especially compared to how convenient and cheap single use plastics are.
And whilst recycling is getting better, and amazing zero waste stores are popping up in towns and cities everywhere, we believe there’s still a missing piece; most plastics can’t be recycled from home, and whilst zero waste stores are great for those who can use them, a lot of people don’t have the time or means to use them regularly.
Our purpose
Simply put, if we want single-use plastics and the generation of waste to become a thing of the past, the alternative needs to be as accessible, convenient and cheap. This is inn’s purpose – to make it convenient, accessible and simple for us to make zero waste choices and reduce the waste we generate in our day-to-day lives. That’s it.

The team
inn is the idea of Luke and Nick. We were frustrated with the amount of waste we produced on a day-to-day basis and wanted to make the benefit of a zero waste store accessible to all. So we thought to ourselves: If not now, when?
